Can you feel His Heartbeat (Heartbeat - The Fray)

I'm constantly reminding myself of a few key things that serve to keep me (us) grounded. Oddly enough, they are all found in 4 small versus of 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18:

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

The entire chapter is really a higher calling for us all but to hone in on these three versus really sets us up to know God's will for our lives... which more often than not, its not what we think or deem it to be. Yet even in this we find the heartbeat of God directing our steps closer towards him. #letitgo

Thank you Lord for yet another day to see you and strive to do your will above our own. Let us cease contributing to all the strife in our lives and humbly and immediately bow out of playing life by any other rules than yours. You are the author and finisher of all and submit ourselves to you today. Guide our steps Lord. 

James 4:1-3
1What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
