Amore Mio

Light shines in the darkest hour if we allow it

There are times when the world is flooded
with purpose to drown out, it
leaves us famished,
starved and wanting to turn and look back but,
with a grain of salt I take this blow like a pillar
for the one that I remember.
It was in the laughter and the pain,
working together against the grain
from which I see that the Lord delivers
Yes, there is fault and yes a need for change
this burden suffered
not from the one who first ate of the fruit
but the one called to lead who is to blame.

The shards remain
but greater is he who stands in the face of death
though some may say naive
and smiles because he knows his calling
he knows his purpose
even after the rain
to test and approve that which is to please
the one came.

This wind is wild, vexing at times
this plan though not my own
keeps me balanced and breathing through the nose
step before step,
the plan has always been to restore
that which was yet found
yet unbound
yet untied
with traces of of every nation
the shore breeds life
from the city to the field
filled
fill
me with your presence
yes now and yet again
